Frequently asked questions
How is the transfer fee handled?+
The fee (a percentage of the balance) is added to the transferred balance, as most cards do. It is therefore part of the total transfer cost and is subtracted from your savings.
What happens after the promotional period?+
Any balance left when the promo ends starts accruing interest again at the current rate you entered. The tool continues the simulation at that rate until the balance is fully paid.
Is a transfer always worth it?+
Not always. If you repay slowly or the fee is high, the post-promo rate can wipe out the saving. The tool also shows whether the balance is cleared before the promo ends — the ideal way to maximize savings.
